Valentina Server delivers a unified, high-performance platform that empowers solution providers to build secure, scalable, and data-driven applications with ease.

Paradigma Software announces the immediate availability of Valentina Server 16. Valentina Server is a high-performance, enterprise-grade platform that unifies multiple services—SQL, NoSQL, full-text search, REST, and integrated reports and forms serving—into a single, easy-to-deploy solution. It empowers solution providers such as ISVs and system integrators to build scalable, secure, and customizable applications while reducing complexity and infrastructure overhead. With powerful features like flexible licensing, integration with external data sources, built-in encryption, and seamless cross-platform support, Valentina Server offers the speed, reliability, and versatility needed to deliver modern data-driven solutions to clients across industries that host on the cloud or locally on a network.

Valentina Technology Update 16

Most Valentina products natively incorporate three internal database systems: ValentinaDB, SQLite and DuckDB. ValentinaDB is Paradigma Software's flagship high performance database system with over 25 years of updates and improvements.

  • ValentinaDB Extensions. You can build custom extensions for the ValentinaDB database system using C, C++, Python or JavaScript. These can include scalar functions, aggregate functions and procedurals that can provide access to external data sources and file formats.
  • Regression Analysis. SQL 2003 aggregate functions for regression analysis are added to ValentinaDB (REGR_SLOPE, REGR_INTERCEPT, REGR_COUNT, REGR_R2, REGR_AVGX, REGR_AVGY, REGR_SXX, REGR_SYY, REGR_SXY).
  • SQL Improvements. The RETURNING clause can now be used with the INSERT statement in ValentinaDB
  • SQLCipher Encryption for SQLite. Encrypt, modify and decrypt SQLite databases using this popular, open source 256 bit AES encryption of database files and other security features
  • Architectural improvements. Third party engines become extensions. JavaScript, Python, DuckDB and SQLite are re-engineered as extensions. This makes it possible to remove the engines if they are not needed for deployment

Valentina Technology Update is included across all Paradigma Software products including:  Valentina Studio (Free Version), Valentina Studio PRO, standalone versions of Valentina Server, and Valentina Developer Network, an OEM developer product that allows developers to deploy copies of Valentina Server to their customers, royalty free and no limits on numbers of deployment.

Valentina Server 16

Valentina Server is a powerful platform for building network or cloud based client-server or server-only solutions that integrates with 30+ developer platforms on Linux, Windows, macOS and iOS. All integration VClient components are free and licensed with Valentina Server.

Valentina Server includes three built in database servers: ValentinaDB Server, Valentina SQLite Server and Valentina DuckDB Server. With support for both internal data sources as well as external data sources (including MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, MongoDB and more), it also includes two other servers that can leverage all supported data sources. These include:

  • Valentina Reports Server. Serve visually compelling reports with charts, graphs, bar/QR codes, images and more from the supported data sources as images, html or PDF. Deliver them using the built in email services and scheduler. You can allow customers to view them on a network using the free Report Viewer. Reports support two scripting systems: Python and JavaScript.
  • Valentina Forms Server. Serve custom, visual forms (similar to Microsoft® Access or Claris® FileMaker Pro) from Valentina Server (on macOS, Windows or Linux) to anyone using the form hosting system built into free Valentina Studio.

It is available on Linux, macOS and Windows. Valentina Server 16 adds all of the Valentina Technology Release 16 features, including:

  • ValentinaDB Extensions. Valentina Server supports ValentinaDB extensions built with C, C++, Python and JavaScript.
  • SQLCipher Encryption Tools. Valentina SQLite Server supports SQLCipher security for encrypting and decrypting SQLite databases using this popular, open source 256 bit AES encryption of database files.
  • Improved Client integration for iOS. Build Cocoa Touch applications using Swift that integrate with ValentinaDB Server, Reports Server, Valentina SQLite Server and Valentina DuckDB Server
  • Improved Client integration for macOS. Build Cocoa applications that integrate with ValentinaDB Server, Reports Server, Valentina SQLite Server and Valentina DuckDB Server

You can use Valentina Server with five simultaneous connections for free on macOS, Windows and Linux.

Standalone, commercial versions start at $299. Academic discounts are available. All products include 12 months of free updates.

Valentina Developer Network (VDN)  is a developer product that allows solution providers to integrate OEM copies of Valentina Server in their solution, which they can deploy royalty free to their customers.  VDN starts at $599.

About Paradigma Software

A US corporation, Paradigma Software Incorporated, was established in Oregon in 1998. Paradigma Software’s initial product launch was with ValentinaDB, a post-relational, columnar database technology, a result of Ruslan Zasukhin’s innovative database research. Mr. Zasukhin investigated database systems, aiming to solve the problems of size, speed and complexity inherent in traditional relational database systems. ValentinaDB maximizes available resources by making data based tasks extremely fast and efficient. Since then, Paradigma Software launched Valentina Studio data management tools and Valentina Server.
